Cultivating the Energies of Love and Joy

Living from the Tz’utujiil Maya Renewal Ceremonies for the World

The story I wish to tell is about the wholeness of the earth. We co-participate in a continual renewal of the living relationship between the visible and the invisible world.

I will explore how an indigenous shamanic culture, the Tz’utuziil Maya of Santiago, Guatemala - Lake Atitlan, survived the physical challenges of the Conquest and the aftermath of the influx of various religions. In spite of their challenges, their shamanic Indigenous ways have supported a continual relationship of renewal of their wholeness and interconnectivity by exploring the Energies of Love and Joy.

Through these photographic images (that have never been digitally altered) we witness the living presence of this on-going relationship over thousands of years of unbroken support.

Their story is our story today, the potential and what is possible for us as we learn to live and experience our own parallel relationship of wholeness through Love and Joy. No challenge, no amount of suffering, can limit us unless we choose to lose Hope in what this natural Indigenous Shamanic relationship offers us today.

This exhibit is a living journey showing the relationship that exists between the physical and non-physical, human and non-human life within the larger ecology of the earth. Exploring how Indigenous shamanic ritual communication exists through various forms of Fire, Smoke, and the Boundaries between the visible and invisible worlds cultivating the energies of Love and Joy.

Welcome and participate with me in our story of potential and all that is possible.
