A Daily Body-Based Movement Practice of The Heart Within Joy

A Bone-Remembering Ritual for Urban Life

Come now, human of the dreaming earth—

Before the day races ahead,

before the voices of the world pull you apart—

let us come back to the place where Joy lives.

Not as excitement.

Not as a reward.

But as the ancient rhythm that still sings beneath your ribs.

1. Listen with the Hand on the Chest

Location: Standing or seated in a quiet corner of your room, city sidewalk, or by a tree.

Place your left hand over your heart.

Place your right hand over your navel.

Breathe.

Do not search for words—

Feel the space between them.

Let your chest rise like a soft-winged bird.

Let your belly loosen its story.

Whisper aloud (or silently):

“Joy is not earned.

Joy is the first Light.

I am remembered by this Light.”

Stay here for three slow breaths.

2. Remember the Two Voices Through the Bones

Movement: Begin shifting weight from one foot to the other.

With each shift, feel the Voice 1 burdens:

– the blame in your knees,

– the guilt in your spine,

– the shame in your jaw.

Let them speak.

Now pause.

Let Voice 2 breathe between your shoulder blades.

Let it soften your fingers.

Let it hum beneath your skull.

Say aloud:

“I carry both voices.

But I choose to listen

to the voice that speaks from wholeness.”

Let your body gently sway, like a tree in slow wind.

3. Tree Embodiment in the Body

Location: Wherever you stand, imagine your body as a tree.

Feet as roots—sinking.

Spine as trunk—rising.

Arms as branches—extending.

Let your ribs lift like new leaves.

Let your hands reach without needing to grasp.

Move slowly, letting your weight shift upward and downward—

root to sky, sky to root.

Feel the in-between—the Joy that connects all parts.

Speak softly:

“The Joy of the tree lives in me.

I am not the pieces.

I am the light between them.”

4. Remembering Through Cellular Light

Movement: Place both hands on your body—one on the belly, one on the chest.

Close your eyes.

Visualize:

One glowing cell—shining from within your heart.

This cell begins to multiply, softly, reverently—

spreading light into every organ, every fingertip, every joint.

Let your spine slowly circle—like stirring warm water.

Let your knees bend and straighten gently.

Feel your bones speak.

Say aloud:

“From one seed of Light—

I became 70 trillion.

Not by force.

But by remembering.”

5. Walk with the Light of Joy

Practice: Take a short walk — a block, a hallway, a path through grass.

Let each step echo with this truth:

Joy walks with me.

Let your eyes soften.

Let your jaw untighten.

Let your breath move from your spine to your soles.

As you walk, repeat this mantra quietly:

“Joy does not wait.

Joy becomes.

I walk with the joy of my becoming.”

6. Closing Ritual: Touching the Earth and Sky

Action: Kneel or touch the ground with one hand.

Then lift the other hand to the sky.

Pause.

Breathe.

Feel the whole of you—rooted and reaching—held by light.

Say in closing:

“I do not seek Joy.

I become the Joy

that remembers all things whole.”

Bow your head gently.

Thank your body.

Thank your voices.

Thank the Light that made you.
