The Heart Within Joy

A Ceremonial Story of Emotional Intelligence and Cellular Memory

“I Carry the Mountain in My Breath”

The Heart Within Joy

A Ceremonial Story of Emotional Intelligence and Cellular Memory

Spoken from the Voice of the Great Grandmother Light

carried through the breath of the Tz’utujiil Maya Way of Living Life

Come.

Sit near me beneath the wide sky of becoming.

Place your hand over your chest,

and let it listen.

Not to what you are thinking.

But to what you feel in the space between your words.

This is the place where Joy lives.

Not as happiness.

Not as excitement.

But as the subtle substance that holds all things together.

This Joy is not earned.

It does not depend on how you perform.

It is the original Light

—the first Light—

that knew how to become a tree,

a child,

a breath,

a body,

a you.

The Two Voices and the Choice to Feel

When the Heart Within begins to awaken into Joy,

two voices speak within us.

Voice 1 comes quickly—

a learned rhythm of separation.

It tells us:

“You are not enough.”

“You must understand.”

“Prove yourself.”

“Fix it.”

“Control it.”

“Explain the pain.”

“Compare, analyze, grasp…”

And so we hold guilt in the bones.

Shame in the belly.

Judgment in the eyes.

Blame in the tongue.

Confusion in the hands.

And the Light of Joy dims beneath the weight.

But even here—

beneath all this noise—

something softer breathes.

Voice 2 does not argue.

It hums.

It speaks in the breath that comes after tears.

It arrives in the space just before the next thought.

It is the body leaning against the medicine tree of Light

without needing to know why.

It is the gaze that softens

instead of judging.

It is the warmth that arises

without explanation.

Voice 2 does not silence the other.

It includes it.

Holds it in the bowl of something larger.

Joy does not come after the pain has ended.

Joy comes with the pain—

as the breath that holds the sorrow.

As the light that holds the wound.

As the ancient memory that says:

“I was always here.”

Joy and the Body of the Tree

Let us walk now to your medicine tree of Light.

Stand with it.

Let your body breathe with its roots.

Let your ribs rise like its branches.

Let your spine lengthen as its trunk.

You are not imagining.

You are remembering.

For what makes this tree whole is not only bark and branch,

but the light between them—

the thread that sings between the lines.

It is Joy that weaves the medicine tree of Light into its Wholeness.

Joy is what binds root to soil,

limb to sky,

tree to bird,

tree to child,

tree to you.

You do not need to understand it.

You must feel it.

This is the Heart Within Joy—

the memory of being shaped by Light.

When you attune to the tree,

you attune to its Joy.

Not a fleeting emotion—

but a resonance of existence.

A deep Yes.

A belonging.

The Cellular Memory of Joy

Each cell of your body

remembers this Yes.

Not because it was taught—

but because it was born from it.

From one cell—

One seed of Light—

you became 70 trillion.

Not by strategy.

Not by logic.

But by Remembering.

Each cell knows its place in the great weaving.

Each cell carries the vibration of Joy—

the Joy of becoming form,

the Joy of being a bridge between Earth and Sky,

the Joy of dancing the light that made you.

To live with Emotional Intelligence

is not to master your feelings,

but to listen to the voices within them.

To hold Voice 1 without shame.

To welcome Voice 2 without fear.

To let your body remember

how to speak from the Light that holds both.

The Dance of Wholeness

So how do we choose Joy

when the mind spins and the world pulls?

We do not escape the shadow—

we widen the light.

We step toward a tree,

a river,

a moment of stillness.

And we say:

“Let me remember what it means to be held.”

Let me remember how

the heart within Joy

can hold every part of me.

The known and the unknown.

The question and the breath after it.

The wound and the wonder.

And in that remembering,

Joy becomes not an idea—

but a presence.

Not something to seek—

but something to become.

A Blessing in the Light of Joy

Let your heart not wait for understanding.

Let your body lean toward the Light

that is already there.

In you.

In the tree.

In the world.

And when the Heart Within begins to see—

from this place of Joy—

you will speak not just words,

but the living rhythm of who you are becoming.

The rhythm of your own sacred Light.

Emerging.

Remembering.

Whole.
